About Dr. Frederick

Dr. Frederick initiated Argus Psychological Services over 21 years ago, after coming to Huntington to work as a staff psychologist at the local community mental health center. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow in clinical psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fremont California. Before then, he did postdoctoral internships in a Pennsylvania state psychiatric hospital, and a Pittsburgh community mental health center and in an Ohio medium security prison.

 

He also had a private practice in mediation of couples’ divorce settlement agreements and for couples in seriously troubled marriages, served as a volunteer counselor in a 24-hour crisis intervention service, and also set up a support group for people with a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

PhD degree in clinical psychology – Rosebridge Graduate School of Integrative Psychology
MA degree in counseling psychology – Santa Clara University MS and PhD degrees in nuclear physics – University of Illinois BS degree (with honors) in physics – Yale University

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Operated an engineering services corporation which developed software and firmware for real-time computer-based systems of the scientific or technical nature.

Field artillery 2nd Lieutenant in the Army of the United States
Temporary union and nonunion employment in the auto industry, The Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC, and other summer jobs.
